Many games of the Call of Duty franchise have a prestige system that allows players to show their current range to other users and unlock valuable rewards. However, the last installment of the series includes a new range mechanics, which can be difficult to understand. So, if you want to know more, we explain all prestigious ranges in Modern Warfare 2.

All prestigious ranges in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, explained

The Call of Duty Prestige Rank System: Modern Warfare 2 reward for players with exclusive items, including emblems, visit cards and new challenges. Compared to the previous versions, MW2's prestige range is not restarted at the end of each season, resulting in a fairer experience for all users.

Here is a list of all prestigious ranges for Modern Warfare 2 season:

  • Prestige 1: unlocked in range 55
  • Prestige 2: Unlocked in range 100
  • Prestige 3: Unlocked in range 150
  • Prestige 4: unlocked in the 200 range
  • Prestige 5: Unlocked in range 250 (the current level limit until the end of season 01)

You can see its prestige range by selecting the menu in the upper right corner:

Then, you can press progress to see the rewards of Prestige Rank. For example, prestige 1 unlocks the call card Cyber Assassin, while prestige 5 includes vertex drive blueprint:

Players can increase their rank participating in multiplayer challenges and games. In addition, you can use XP tokens to get double XP for a limited time.
